ZOA's Annual Report

In our Annual Report 2021 we present the impact of our work on the lives of more than 2.5 million people. Looking back, 2021 has been a challenging year, we had more virus variants, more lockdowns, and rapidly increasing needs around the world. Yet, ZOA kept going - by making bold choices and placing people at the centre.

2021: impact in a turbulent year

The year 2021 was unprecedented for everyone. But even in challenging circumstances, ZOA was able to say: we are here. We are grateful for the work that we could do to support more than 2.5 million people affected by violent conflicts and natural disasters.

Handing over the work in Sri Lanka after 26 year was one of the highlights of 2021. We also finished our work in Indonesia, where we supported earthquake victims. Other conflicts perpetuated and left many people in desperate need for help in countries like Burundi, South Sudan and DR Congo. It is our desire to stay faithful to these people who have been suffering for years. This would not have been possible without the support of our donors and our loyal constituency.
