ZOA's Annual Report

In our Annual Report 2024 we present the impact of our work on the lives of more than 2.1 million people. While global attention wavered and government funding decreased, the needs of displaced and vulnerable people only grew in 2024. In places like Sudan, DR Congo and Ukraine, entire communities were uprooted by conflict. In many of these crises, ZOA was able to contribute to tangible, positive change.

2024: impact in a challenging year

The year 2024 was unprecedented for everyone. But even in challenging circumstances, ZOA was able to say: we are here. We are grateful for the work that we could do to support more than 2.1 million people affected by violent conflicts and natural disasters.

One of them is Abuk, a grandmother from South Sudan. She lost her husband and son; her village was burned to the ground and her daughter-in-law was killed. With four grandchildren, she fled once again. Through ZOA’s emergency aid, Abuk and her grandchildren are regaining strength. “ZOA made me feel like part of a community again,” she said.
